This house was erected in 1917. It was designed and built by the firm of Lawson & Worth, located at 3828 Sunnyside Avenue N. according to the building permit, for owner Northern Bond & Mortgage Company with offices in the Central Building. A garage was added to the property in 1918 by owner Edward Carey and it appears he added another garage in 1922. The house is unusually small for a Wallingford residence built in the second decade of the 20th Century, although it should be noted that it was built in the lull between the first and second North End building booms just before the United States entered the First World War. The house is situated on a portion of Block 40, Lot 6 as well as Block 41, Lot 10, Woods South Division of Green Lake Addition.

| Appearance |
| Originally the front and back porches were not continuous but have been made continuous at some point since 1937. The back door was moved and replaced by a window. The chimney has been shortened, and a column supporting the roof at the front porch of the house has been sheathed in shingle siding. Some of the windows appear to have been replaced in kind and a few replaced with aluminum sash. |
