|
This vernacular Queen Anne cottage is one of three virtually identical cottages (310, 316 & 320 15th Avenue) important because of the information they offer about vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle. They are also important because of their setting high above the street necessitating stone retaining walls, steps and other interesting landscape features that link houses and create historic streetscape. These houses and, indeed, this block of 15th including the street are not yet developed on the 1893 Sanborn Map.
