Appearance |
One story, shingle and wood clad frame residence on concrete foundation over a 1/2 basement. No significant modifications are apparent. The low slope, front gable roof main roof is characterized by typical craftsman elements including exposed rafter tails and wide barge boards supported by triangular knee braces. The inset front porch projects beyond the main façade and towards the street, allowing the entry stairs to enter from the west side. It is accentuated by a smaller entry gable that remains partially engaged with the main roof. The built up wood columns that support the porch roof atypically terminate at the porch deck rather than continuing to grade as is more usual in bungalow design. A large bay along the east elevation has its own east facing cross gable. The sidewall chimney is flanked by two small windows in the typical bungalow pattern. The double hung windows at the front (north) elevation are not ganged as is usual in bungalow design. However, they do employ the typical craftsman sash pattern (small divided sash over a larger undivided sash. No major modifications are apparent. |
