Significance
This brick-and-timber building, now known as 81 Vine, was for many years the home of the Frayn Printing and Publishing Company. In 1995 Geise Architects renovated the building, with residential condominiums on the upper floors and commercial space on the ground floor. In 1999 a two-story penthouse with additional residences was constructed. The roof of this building is the heart of the Growing Vine Street project, with planters and decorative but functional downspouts that deliver water to the cisterns below.
