Significance
This is an excellent example of late 19th century vernacular housing. It contributes to our knowledge of the architectural and residential development of Seattle and it contributes to the historic streetscape. Further evaluation of this cottage may yield information regarding the rich ethnic heritage of this historically Japanese/American and Italian/American neighborhood. Appearance
This is a traditional gable front vernacular house type with asymmetrical entrance stoop and two façade windows. The pedimented entrance porch is supported by turned columns. The house is clad in faux-brick asphalt siding. It is set behind and apparently pre-dates 1635 South King Street. It is accessed by a flower lined path from South King Street.
