Significance
This house is a good example of late 19th century vernacular housing. It contributes to our knowledge of the architectural and residential development of Seattle. Further evaluation of this house may yield information regarding the rich ethnic history of this historically Japanese/American and Italian/American neighborhood.
 
Appearance
This is an early example of the traditional one & 1/2 story gable front vernacular house type. Although the windows and siding are altered, the identifying form, full width hipped roof porch, asymmetrical entrance and old exterior brick chimney survive.
