Appearance
This two story house is an outstanding, and perhaps South Park's only intact, example of a gable front vernacular house adorned in a folk interpretation of the Queen Anne style. The house is scaled considerably larger than its prototype but retains the steep pitched gable roof, sparsely placed one-over-one double hung windows and asymmetrical entrance. The full width, shed roof porch has a pedimented entrance, turned posts and spindle work baluster and conrice decoration. The front door is a paneled Victorian door with a single upper light. A lowered wooden fan decorates the gable. This house and its setting are important individually and they contribute to the historic streetscape.
