Appearance |
This handsome house has a rectangular mass with a steeply pitched gable roof. Characteristic of the Shingle style, this house has multilevel eaves created by a triple gabled dormer and by second floor corner bays. The second floor and attic levels as well as the bays and dormer were originally clad in shingles but have been carefully resided with clapboard and vertical board. The gable end faces the street and is decorated with floriform and oval decorative windows. A gabled porch on the northern façade provides entrance. It is supported by ornate, short, fat columns. Classical pilasters and multipane over one windows further embellish the house. |
