This house is a good example of early to mid-20th century vernacular architecture. It contributes to our knowledge of the architectural and residential development of Seattle. It and its setting contribute to the hisotric streetscape. Appearance
This is one of approximately eight ca. 1925-1932 brick houses in this neighborhood that may be associated with carpenter/contractor Sam Catania. It embodies certain details characteristic of Catania's houses including, polychrome brick, classical entrance details and leaded glass windows. This house has fleur de lis patterned glass in the transoms of the façade windows.
