This is a typical commercial building that originally had four storefronts. In 1937 it housed the Sing Tong laundry, a beauty shop, tailor, an auto repair company and a café called Tasty Lunch. Behind it at that time, on the same parcel, was a large house called the Lee Apartments, dating from 1897. This building was constructed in front of that one in 1924. It was altered in 1970 with new display windows that are generally compatible with the style of the building.
