This 1-story commercial building was constructed in 1947 according to the 1948 King County Assessor property card, in the Uptown neighborhood.

Constructed in 1947, this vernacular warehouse building is located at the northwest corner of Third Avenue W and W Republican Street. The original portion of the 1-story warehouse has a rectangular plan and stands on a post and pier foundation. A skirting covers the foundation. Multiple additions to the building’s north elevation have made it a much larger, L-shaped building. The original building has a side gable roof clad in asphalt composition shingles. Vertical planks and T1-11 siding clad the building and appears to replace or cover the original wood lap siding. The building originally featured multiple 9-lite wood sash windows. A trio of these windows still remain, but appear to have been relocated from their original locations. A majority of the original window openings have been covered over. A replacement loading door is present on the north end of the original building.
The building has multiple alterations since it was originally constructed and lacks integrity. |
