This house is an excellent example of a simple, unadorned late 19th century vernacular house. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle and because it and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape. The orientation of this house suggests that it predates the street system.
 
Appearance
This is a traditional, one and 1/2 story vernacular dwelling. It is unadorned except for a single gable dormer and a partial width hipped porch with plain posts. Windows are two over two double hung sash.
