This commercial warehouse building was constructed by International Harvester in 1949 and served as their motor truck branch. It has served as a carpet and flooring warehouse and showroom since the 1970s and does not appear to have any significant associations with the economic development of the city. It was constructed after the major phase of early significant development in the Seattle Tidelands area and the building has been significantly altered.
The property has been determined not eligible for National Register listing by the state SHPO.

| Appearance |
The building exhibits some Streamline Moderne characteristics in the rounded corners f the main portion of the original building on the south and round windows flanking the original recessed entry facing 1st Ave S, which also has rounded corners. However the original entry has been infilled and many other alterations have been made to the building, including extensive alterations to the windows, and a large addition to the original building.It lacks the architectural integrity of its original design.
