Historic Name: Pomerelle Company Warehouse Common Name: Pacific Fish Company Warehouse

Built By: Year Built: 1915

Significance
This utilitarian warehouse/office is an assemblage of two flat-roofed buildings connected to form an "L" shape." The building to the west is an older one-story brick clad warehouse. The only openings are the large plate glass windows wrapping around the northeast corner of the building, with a contemporary wood or composite door entry inset in the window group on the east elevation. The building to the east is a two-story garage and office set back from Dearborn Street along the north elevation. On this elevation it presents ribbon windows accross the  second story and large rollup garage doors accross the first story. According to tax files, the one-story building on the west side was constructed in 1915 and the two-story addition was constructed on the east in 1968. According to the tax assessor property record card, the original warehouse was used by the Pomerelle Company as a wine and apple juice processing facility. This building was modernized and extensively altered in 1962. When the 1968 addition was constructed the building was owned by the Pacific Fish Company. At that time, the Pacific Fish Company used these smaller buildings as accessory to their  primary warehouse facility which was located in the larger warehouse building immediately to the west. Signage above the entry indicates the building was recently occupied by the World Kwang Tung Community Association. The building is currently vacant.
