Significance
This circa 1930 single family residence is an good example of a small bungalow cottage, a common residential building type of the era. It is the most intact of the few remaining single family residences that form an isolated group of domestic dwellings located on King Street between 12th Avenue South and South Rainier Avenue. The surrounding area is dominated by commercial development.
 
Appearance
This bungalow cottage has a clipped gable roof and rustic cedar board cladding. It is characterized by colonial revival detailing in the gabled portico supported by doric columns and the paired double hung wood sash windows with six over one lights symmetrically arranged on either side of the entry. Paired casement windows in the front gable light the attic. Both the front entry door and the paired hinged wooden doors leading to a basement level garage on the lower right side of the primary facade appear to be original.
