Historic Name: NAS Seattle Building 330 - Married Officers Quarters "A" Common Name:
Style: Colonial - Colonial Revival Neighborhood:
Built By: Year Built: 1939

Significance
Built in 1939 to house married, commissioned officers, Building 330 (one of three similar houses) is typical of the style of residences popular at the time (Colonial Revival). This row of houses would have fit in a residential neighborhood. All military bases from earlier eras contained senior commissioned officers’ quarters, which set them apart from more junior officers and enlisted personnel.

Appearance
This, two-story, Colonial Revival–style house is the southernmost of three similar buildings, at the south end of the district. The other related units, 331 and 332, are arranged in a slightly curving arc to the north. Rectangular in plan, the house’s main entrance is on the west side, facing 62nd Avenue NE. A poured concrete foundation supports a wooden frame clad with brick and wood siding, all capped by a hip roof. Windows are original, multi-lite, double-hung wood sash or multi-lite fixed.
