Significance
Built between 1945 and 1949, this dirt dike provided a protective barrier infront of sensitive equipment utilized in coodinating flight traffic and operations of the airfield.
 
Appearance
Board-framed reinforced concrete comprises the structure and cladding of this protective retaining wall. Soil back-filled along the back side covers interior spaces. A semi-circular, concrete shed roof, supported on steel poles, projects out over the north doorways. A window provides daylight to interior spaces. Flush panel doors provide access to interior spaces.
