Appearance
This is a two story, clapboard clad, wood frame single-family residence on a concrete foundation, over a full basement. The slightly irregular plan is capped by a hip roof with moderate overhangs and enclosed soffits.

In general, the large, singly placed window and slightly irregular footprint are typical of Queen Anne design, though the plan irregularity is primarily due to the placement of the garage. The heavy piers and bracketing at the inset porches are more typical of the Shingle style or early twentieth century work. The hip roof is suggestive of the Prairie style. The modillions give the structure a slight Italianate flavor.

This house was built in 1905.

There have been some minor adjustments to the detailing of the structure. One of the recessed porches shown in the plan sketch included on the King County Property Record Card does not appear on either contemporary or early photos of the building, suggesting that this element may have been incorporated into the interior of the structure at an early date.
