This is a simple if somewhat vernacular example of the Shingle style exhibiting a high degree of design integrity despite the possibliity of alterations at the east (back or view) side of the structure.
This is one of approximately 2,200 houses that are still extant out of more than 5,000 that were built by the end of 1906 in Seattle’s Central Area, Eastlake, First Hill, Leschi, Madison Park, Madrona, and North Capitol Hill neighborhoods.
A complete permit history, and a complete record of ownership and occupation have not yet been prepared for this property.

| Appearance |
This house was built in 1904. The cross gable gambrel roof, ganged windows and extensive shingle siding at the upper level suggest the Shingle style. There is a full basement.
There may have been some modifications at the back (view) side of the structure; however, the extent of the alterations cannot easily be viewed from the public right-of-way.
