This is (or was) an example of Queen Anne -- Free Classic detailing applied to a bungalow scheme. It integrity has been compromised by alterations at the porch and the replacement of most of the original windows.
This is one of approximately 2,200 houses that are still extant out of more than 5,000 that were built by the end of 1906 in Seattle’s Central Area, Eastlake, First Hill, Leschi, Madison Park, Madrona, and North Capitol Hill neighborhoods. The structure is located in a portion of the Central Area also known as the East Madison district.
A complete permit history, and a complete record of ownership and occupation have not yet been prepared for this property.

| Appearance |
The hip main roof with intersecting gable roof is a signature feature of the Queen Anne style.
Most of the original windows have been replaced with vinyl units. A turned post has replaced the original Tuscan column at the outside corner of the entry porch, and the railing that once stood at the north side of the porch has been removed. The original wood steps at the porch entry have been replaced with concrete steps. The chimney has been altered.
