This is one of approximately 2,200 houses that are still extant out of more than 5,000 that were built by the end of 1906 in Seattle’s Central Area, Eastlake, First Hill, Leschi, Madison Park, Madrona, and North Capitol Hill neighborhoods.

This house was built in 1904 according to both the King County Property Record Card and the King County GIS Center Property Report. According to the King County Property Record Card, the house was remodeled prior to 1937; however, the extent of the work undertaken and teh date of the work is not indicated.
The rearward extension may be an early addition. The basement appears to have been remodeled. Some main floor windows have been replaced. The basement windows have been altered or added. A metal security gate has been added at the front door. The original cladding has been replaced with metal siding. The trim work at openings and at the porch has been altered to accommodate the siding change. The porch and entry steps have been altered.
