Appearance |
The hip roof with cross gables, together with the remaining spindlework detailing at the porch, identify this structure as an example of Queen Anne -- Cottage design. The structure appears to be built on a bungalow scheme.
There is a small, early, single story addition at the back of the building. A cottage type window at the front window bay has been replaced with a new window of modern design. Another window opening has been boarded up. A metal gate has been installed at the entry door. The original post and pier foundation was replaced with a concrete block foundation. As a result, the vertical board skirting originally at the base of the building is not longer extant and the water table has been modified. The front steps and their baluster railings have been removed and replaced.
