Appearance
This is a vernacular foursquare design (pyramidal family, national folk housing) with some limited Queen Anne detailing, as represented by the window bays at the east (street) and north elevations. The modillions give the structure a slight Italianate or Spanish colonial flavor.

This house was built in 1906 according to the King County Property Record Card; however, the King County GIS Center Property Report indicates the structure was completed in 1901.

There are new windows at the basement level. The original clapboard siding was covered or replaced with concrete/asbestos shakes by 1957. The railing that originally surmounted the full width entry porch has been removed. The entry stairs have been rebuilt; the sidewalls that originally extended above the steps have been removed and replaced by simple baluster railings. Facia boards now hide the ends of the soffit modillions. The chimney has been altered.
