Appearance
The exceptionally wide window casings of the original design, the broad overhangs, the enclosed soffits and the moderately sloped hip roof all give the structure a Prairie style appearance, although the original windows were of Queen Anne design. The brackets that appeared to support the soffits at the corners of the house in 1937 gave the structure a slight Mission or Italian Renaissance flavor, although such details are not unusual in Prairie style work.

This house was built in 1905 according to both the King County Property Record Card and the King County GIS Center Property Report.

An extensive front deck with latticework fence/railing has been added. The very large Queen Anne style cottage window that once characterized the front of the house has been replaced by a group of modern windows detailed to resemble a group of craftsman style units. The Queen Anne style window in the front facing dormer has also been replaced. The shingle siding appears to have been replaced in kind or refurbished. The casing of the original front window has been replaced with narrower built-up casings more typical of local Prairie and Craftsman style work. A tall slender stove pipe chimney that was present at an early date is no longer extant.
