This modest industrial building was constructed in 1954 and is typical of masonry industrial buildings of the mid-century. Its original use is unknown, but it appears to have been constructed to function as a retail storefront in the east section facing onto 12th Avenue, with manufacturing in the rear, west section of the building. It is currently used as a social services facility operated by the St. Vincent De Paul Society for the storage and distribution of clothing and household goods to low-income and disabled persons.

Appearance |
This one story masonry industrial building is in two box-like horizontal sections. The front, smaller section faces onto 12th Avenue with a standard eight-foot ceiling height. The rear, larger section, has a twelve foot ceiling height. Both sections are characterized by their flat roofs with overhanging eaves and horizontal massing. The front section features three bays with a single entry door at the south bay and large industrial windows that are covered by louvered wooden sun shade structures on the exterior. The rear section, which is integrated into the slope at the north elevation along Spruce St, faces south onto the parking lot with two bays of full height industrial window wall and an entry door at the east end and a single bay at the west end providing a loading entry with garage door.
