[Very Altered:
Original wooden facade reclad in metal siding and windows also replaced. This
building originally appears to have served as addition or wing of the
industrial shed building, now at 2462 1st S, which is much more
intact and is also now considered part of another parcel.
Occupied first by D. A. Johnson Hardwood Company and, at the end of World War
II, by Sherman Supply, a well-known Seattle plumbing supplier. Sherman Supply
stayed for “ 6 decades.” until it was asked to leave, to accommodate the
Link Light Rail, (which wound up not affecting the property, after all).
