McAllister's Addition, Block 15, Lot 9 This house has maintained a very good degree of integrity and retains original Craftsman elements. The single family house was built in 1927, but was apparently moved to its present location and remodeled around May of 1947. The extent of the remodel is not recorded, although, aside from the addition of the porch railing, which is compatible, few or no changes seem to have been made since 1947. Based on information in King County Property record cards, it seems likely that the house was moved along with its neighbor, located a few doors to the east at 130 S Brandon Street. That house is somewhat different on its exterior and, for instance, has few Craftsman details, but the floorplan and overall combination of forms. The original location of the houses is not known. Between 1947 and 1949, F. R. Clotfelter is listed as the owner of the house.

| This single family house is located on the north side of Brandon Street, between 1st and 2nd Avenues South. It is one story with a basement level. Its main façade, which faces south, is set along Brandon Street. The main part of the house has a basic rectangular plan, topped by a gable roof, with a chimney to the west side. A symmetrically placed cross-gable, with the gable end parallel to Brandon Street, tops the entry porch. The overhang over this gable end is relatively deep. It is also marked by brackets with decorative beam ends and exposed rafter tails. Similar elements mark the deep overhangs of the gable roof over the main part of the house. To each side of the main entry porch, there are paired double-hung, wood frame windows set in wooden surrounds. These four over one windows are original, (or very good replacements in kind). Side elevations feature fewer, but similar windows, sometimes in reduced size. A set of original wooden steps, set symmetrically in relation to the porch landing and the overall building façade, lead up to the porch landing. The current wooden railing, with simple vertical balusters, was apparently added after the house was moved in 1947, but is in keeping with the detailing of the rest of the house. |
