This house has maintained a very good degree of integrity, despite changes to the porch supports. The single family house was built in 1930, but was apparently moved here and remodeled in 1947. The extent of the remodel is not recorded, although, aside from the porch supports, few changes seem to have been made since 1947. In 1947, the house address was listed as “128 Brandon St.” The house plan included a living room with a kitchen behind it on the west side of the house, with two rooms back to back on the east side. Based on information in King County Property record cards, it seems likely that the house was moved along with its neighbor, now located farther west on the same block at 118 S Brandon Street. That house, although somewhat different on its exterior, also had a similar floor plan. The original location of the houses is not known. George A. Jangster was the owner of this house during the mid-1940s, prior to the move.

| Appearance |
| This single family house is located on the north side of Brandon Street, close to the northwest corner of 2nd Avenue South and Brandon Street. It is one story with a basement level. Its main façade, which faces south, is set along Brandon Street. The main part of the house has a basic rectangular plan, topped by a gable roof. A symmetrically placed cross-gable, with a gable end parallel to Brandon Street, tops the entry porch. A low-slung arch in wood defines the underside of the porch overhang. Based on a photo from 1947, two thin turned columns, either Tuscan or some variation on Doric columns, formerly supported the porch. These have now been replaced by newer open metal supports, which include scroll motifs in metal. This is the most notable change to the house exterior. The porch landing is accessed by concrete steps, which are perpendicular to the main façade. This reinforces the symmetrical nature of the main façade. An additional metal railing has also been added since the 1947 photo was taken. Paired windows in wood frames, set to each side of the central entry porch, are original, (or very good replacements). They are double-hung, three over one: the top section is divided into three vertical panes by thin muntins. Currently, other parts of the house are mostly hidden by lush vegetation. Plans indicate that there is also a porch on the back north elevation and a projecting bay on the east elevation. . |
