Appearance |
This single-family frame house is located on the north side of South Brandon between 4th and 5th Avenues South. The main façade faces Brandon Street. The house is one story with attic and basement levels. The basement has concrete walls, which rise to just below the first level, which is elevated. Above the basement level, the exterior walls are sided with painted cedar siding. The house has a basic rectangular plan with a simple gable roof. An entry porch, accessed from Brandon St, is created by a concrete stair and landing. The stair is perpendicular to the main façade. A small overhanging gabled roof, supported by brackets, tops the porch. The main door is set at the center of the façade and the landing. To each side of the door, which has been replaced, there is a large window opening with one large fixed window. The original windows had a tripartite division: within the same opening, a single wood frame window was flanked by two multi-pane windows in wood frames. |
