Significance

This property has been altered. Based on field examination conducted in January - February 2014, this property exhibits poor physical integrity and does not exhibit significant historic building fabric or features. Based on preliminary research and comparison with other extant and similar properties, it does not appear to possess significant historical associations or design attributes.

Original 3-sory southern wing (100’ x 180’) of warehouse was constructed in 1954 for Sunset Electrical Co. (offices <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">300 Westlake Ave. N.). Designed by Arnold G. Ganges, architect and constructed at a cost of $250.00 per Permit# 431530. One-story delivery bay addition to north side made c.1974. By 1991, known as the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Fred <st1:placename w:st="on">Rogers <st1:placename w:st="on">Building. By 1993, in use by Seattle Opera for rehearsal/storage/shop purposes. North wing added c.2000.

This property was determined not eligible for NRHP – 7/14/2005 (South Lake Union Streetcar EIS). See DAHP database – HPI Report dated 12/15/2004.
