This property was constructed 1947–48, according to the King County Assessor 1949 property card, as a triplex multi-family residence designed in the Minimal Traditional style.

Appearance

Constructed between 1947 and 1948, this triplex is located mid-block on the west side of Queen Anne Avenue N, between Thomas Street and John Street. The building is oriented away from the street, with its entrances facing north and south. The building at 215 Queen Anne Avenue N has a side gable roof, with north and south-facing slopes, clad in asphalt composition shingles. The one-story wood-frame building with a basement stands on a poured concrete foundation and is rectangular in plan. The Minimal Traditional-style building is clad in Roman brick veneer and has horizontal metal siding on the gable ends. The windows are metal with four horizontal lites, the second lite from the top is an awning sash while the rest are fixed. Wood windows and a wood door are present at the basement level. Each entrance has a concrete stoop with a metal canopy supported on pipe posts; there are two stoops on the north elevation and one centered stoop on the south elevation.

The building retains integrity and is a typical example of the Minimal Traditional style.
