Appearance |
Constructed in 1970, this structural steel commercial building is located at the northwest corner of Second Avenue W and W Harrison Street. The site slopes downward from north to south. The building, designed in the Brutalist style, features a flat roof with parapet. The 3-story building with basement-level parking stands on a poured concrete foundation. Marblecrete clads the building’s exterior. The basement-level parking is accessed from W Harrison Street. The west and east elevations feature bands of deeply recessed windows. The windows and doors are constructed of anodized bronze aluminum. Metal coping caps the parapet. A metal railing encloses the parking as the basement walls step up to follow the sloping site. Concrete columns are visible in the basement parking and support the above building structure.
The building retains integrity and is a fairly typical office building. |
