This sleek modern building with marblecrete cladding was actually built in 1923, with two storefronts. In 1937 it housed the 4th Avenue Grocery (until the 1950s) and the offices of the Apartment Operators Association. The two had stucco cladding, large display windows and twin gables on the parapet. The current owner purchased the building in 1960, and completely modernized it in 1965, with large glass windows and marblecrete cladding.
