| Significance |
This is a typical example of a 1920s neighborhood commercial building with a considerable amount of architectural integrity. It is distinguished by its ornamentation of Batchelder tiles along the entire upper portion of the storefront. The store opened in 1929, and has been a neighborhood grocery store ever since. It is one of relatively few such stores remaining in Seattle neighborhoods, and is an important part of the small Madrona commercial district.

| Appearance |
| This is a one-story brick-clad building with a single storefront. Its distinguishing feature is the Batchelder tiles set into the brickwork above the display windows. These include four large dogwood-patterned tiles surrounded by twelve smaller tiles. The storefront has been updated, with a newer steel and glass door and a bulkhead with horizontal wood siding; the display windows are older but not original. |
