Historic Name: unknown Common Name: Kroll Map Co.
Style: Modern Neighborhood: Belltown
Built By: Year Built: 1956

Significance
This modest building was built in 1956, while construction was recovering after World War II. The north edge of Belltown and the adjacent Lower Queen Anne neighborhood were underdeveloped compared to nearby denser areas, and when the post-war economy recovered sufficiently these areas proved to be fertile ground for construction of small commercial buildings. The 1962 World’s Fair, located only blocks away, also spurred development in the 1950s-60s. The architect was Don Williams and Associates. The building is of concrete construction with large aluminum-framed display windows; the windows on the south side may be newer. It has parking on the roof, a common feature of buildings of the time.
