Historic Name: La Boheme Common Name: Sully's Snowgoose
Style: Tudor Neighborhood: Greenwood/Phinney
Built By: Year Built: 1934

Significance
In the opinion of the survey, this property appears to meet the criteria of the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Ordinance.
This distinctive tavern dates from 1934, when it opened as La Boheme shortly after the end of Prohibition. This business survived until the 1990s, becoming a popular feature of the Greenwood community. Another tavern, Sully's Snowgoose, replaced it. The building itself has also become a landmark because of its unusual English Cottage design, with steep gables. The building is attached to a 1905 house, an excellent example of the Classic Box type common in many parts of Seattle.

Appearance
The main body of this tavern is a side gable structure, with a prominent, very steep front gable section at each end. Other characteristics of the English Cottage style are the stucco cladding on the main façade and the half-timbering below the windows. The side elevations are clad in wood clapboard siding; the roof is clad with wood shakes. Both the front (east) and the north elevations have large wood-framed windows, both single-light and divided light. The gable ends on the front each have a small window as well.
