|
This distinctive tavern dates from 1934, when it opened as La Boheme shortly after the end of Prohibition. This business survived until the 1990s, becoming a popular feature of the Greenwood community. Another tavern, Sully's Snowgoose, replaced it. The building itself has also become a landmark because of its unusual English Cottage design, with steep gables.
The building is attached to a 1905 house, an excellent example of the Classic Box type common in many parts of Seattle.

| Appearance |
| The main body of this tavern is a side gable structure, with a prominent, very steep front gable section at each end. Other characteristics of the English Cottage style are the stucco cladding on the main façade and the half-timbering below the windows. The side elevations are clad in wood clapboard siding; the roof is clad with wood shakes. Both the front (east) and the north elevations have large wood-framed windows, both single-light and divided light. The gable ends on the front each have a small window as well. |
