The Pike/Pine/Broadway vicinity became Seattle's Auto Row shortly after the first automobile was offered for sale locally in 1905. For the next twenty years, virtually all auto dealers, and numerous auto-related business, were located in this area. In the 1930s this building was owned by S. L. Savidge, one of the largest auto dealerships, and used as a repair facility. It later became a warehouse for Lincoln Moving & Storage and in the 1990s was converted to a brewery and pub. Only minor modifications have been made to the windows and entry. This early warehouse is an intact example of a Chicago commercial style building, notable particularly for its large amount of window area and its prominent location on East Pike Street.
