Based on field work conducted in October 2014, this historic property retains its relationship to the streetscape, historic building form and a sufficient amount of exterior historic building fabric (design features, cladding and/or window sash/openings) to contribute to the distinct character of the University Park neighborhood.

 

This is a particularly well-preserved historic property that appears to possess architectural and/or historic significance.

 
Appearance
This two and a half story Craftsman house is sited facing west on its lot. The roof is front gabled with wide rafters supported by rustic brackets, and has two gabled dormers, one on each side of the main gable. The house is clad in clapboard siding with stucco and half-timber on the half story. The front porch runs the full width of the house punctuated by three bastions with wood pillars; the porch has a front gabled roof, also decorated with half-timbering. The second floor has two narrow multi-paned fixed windows that are flanked by double-hung windows with multi-paned upper sashes. Dividing the second story and the half story is decorative beaded wood trim. The half story has a double-hung window with multi-paned upper sashes that is closely flanked by two smaller windows of the same variety. Both of the gabled dormers have single double-hung windows.
