Significance
This house is a good example of late 19th/early 20th century vernacular housing. It contributes to our knowledge of the architectural and residential development of Seattle and it and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape. Further evaluation of this house may yield additional information regarding the rich ethnic history of this historically Japanese/American and Italian/American neighborhood.
 
Appearance
This is a variation of the traditional one & 1/2 story gable front vernacular house type. It has the typicaly asymmetrical entrance but it is sheltered by a gable roof partial width porch. It is a simple house distinguished by scroll-like knee braces under the eaves of the house and porch. Façade windows have been altered. There is a gable projection to the north and an exterior brick chimney on the northern façade.
