This house is a good example of late 19th/early 20th century vernacular housing. It contributes to our knowledge of the architectural and residential development of Seattle and it and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape. Appearance |
This is a variation of the traditional one & 1/2 story gable front vernacular house type. It has the typicaly asymmetrical entrance but it is sheltered by a gable roof partial width porch. It is a simple house distinguished by scroll-like knee braces under the eaves of the house and porch. Façade windows have been altered. There is a gable projection to the north and an exterior brick chimney on the northern façade. |
