This building is a rare relatively intact example of a late 19th century church. It enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle.
This block was not mapped on the 1893 Sanborn Map but this building appears labeled as a Presbyterian Church on the 1904-1905 map. Grace Presbyterian Church held title by 1914.

Appearance |
This simple vernacular church is a rectangular, gabled box with little adornment except the focal window on 22nd Street. It is a large round area multilight window accented by wooden shingles ,which fill the gable and arch around the window. |
