Historic Name: Unknown Common Name:

Significance
This house is one of a cohesive row of early 20th century vernacular dwellings built in 1908 and 1909 by Z. A. Harrison. The houses are important as a unit because they enhance our knowledge of residential development in Seattle and the evolution of vernacular architecture. This house contributes to the historic streetscape of the north side of the 200 block of 17th Avenue South. Yuin Kee Chinn acquired this house in 1926.

Appearance
This vernacular hosue is an expression of the Craftsman style, the details of which are overpowered by a round tower that rises from the center of the façade. It is otherwise a side gable cottage with wide roof, open eaves and exposed rafter ends. The full width inset porch is supported by four classical columns resting on a balustrade made of siding to match the house. The tower has been re-sided in vertical board. This house is a variation of 212 17th Avenue South.
