Significance
In the opinion of the survey, this property appears to meet the criteria of the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Ordinance.
This brick masonry building is a good and intact example of a small industrial building still in its original use. Wilson Machine Works was founded in 1925 by Robert J. Wilson; his son Robert D. Wilson took over the business, and it is now owned by his son, Robert D. Wilson, Jr. The building has an usual degree of physical integrity, with industrial sash and original wood garage doors.

Appearance
This is a simple brick masonry industrial building with little adornment. The parapet rises slightly at the corners, above a simple brick cornice. The building has only one story, but the 19-foot ceiling height gives it the appearance of two stories. The main façade (west) has three large windows on the first floor and four windows above; similar but smaller windows are on the north and south elevations. All are old multipaned industrial sash. The entry at the north end of the main (east) elevation has been changed slightly with a newer door and sidelights but has its original configuration. The north elevation has a pair of very tall wood doors, with multiple lights in the upper sections; these allow large equipment and materials to be taken into the work area. At the rear is an addition, dating from at least the 1950s, if not before. It has metal cladding and a large rolling wood door.
