Significance
Carter Hall Apartments were built in 1926. This is a typical brick box apartment structure of the 1920’s and is relatively unaltered. One of its most attractive features is the frieze of decorative geometric patterned brickwork.
 
Appearance
The Carter Hall Apartments is a three-story brick box structure. Its cornice is simple with a frieze of decorative geometric patterned brickwork. Two entrances are located on the North elevation. Each entrance has a porch that is composed of a cornice supported by columns. The porches are flanked by single double-hung windows that are repeated on the floors above. In between the single double-hung windows are three-part double-hung windows that are repeated on the floors above. Directly above the porches are three-part Palladian style windows. Three-part and single double-hung windows are repeated on the east and west elevations.
