Significance
One of the earliest commercial buildings, the Nichols building was constructed in 1907. It is noteworthy as an early example of a brick commercial building in the University District.
 
Appearance
The Nichols Building is a two-story brick commercial building with smooth grey façade bricks. The boxed cornice is finely detailed with small scrollwork brackets. While the basic structure remains, the storefront has been extremely altered with none of the original storefront remaining.
