Significance
This one-story concrete building dates from 1926, but has been completely altered since then with new windows and cladding. In 1938 it was the Ruth Ashbrook Wholesale Bakery, supplying baked goods to stores throughout the area. At that time this was a significant industrial area, with the Currin-Green shoe factory, American Can Company, Skyway Luggage and fish processors, among others.
