Significance
This residential vernacular house was built in 1904 and is one of the last remaining and oldest single family residences in the area. The architect and/or builder is unknown. Early ownership is unknown. It is located in the lot south of what was the Seventh Day Adventist church, the earliest church structure in the district. John R. Lund, a carpenter, purchased the house in 1923. John R. and Emma E. Lund lived in the house from 1923 to approximately 1965.
 
Appearance
This one and a half story residential vernacular house is situated on its lot facing west. The roof is gabled with a cross gable towards the rear of the house. The first story is clad in clapboard siding, while the half story is clad in wood shingles, some with a decorative scalloped pattern. The front gable has symmetrical shed dormers on the north and south sides, each with two double hung windows. The main entrance with a recessed porch is on the north side of the front elevation. To the south of the front door is a small double hung multi-paned sash window and a pair of larger double hung multi-paned sash windows. The half story of the front elevation has another pair of double hung windows, but without the multi-paned sash. An addition was constructed in 1905. The entire back of the house was extensively remodel in 1943 with a one and a half story addition. The addition was built to convert the house to six apartments. The rear cross gable has single double-hung windows that appear to have been replaced in the 1943 remodel.
