Significance
This house embodies the distinctive characteristics of a "free classic" Queen Anne house. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle and because it and its setting ocntribute to the historic streetscape.
 
Appearance
This house has the irregular massing, converging rooflines, multiple porches and cutaway bay characteristic of the Queen Anne style but its surfaces are relatively plain and ornament is limited to classical porch columns, decorative windows and wooden shingles in the gables. The roof is a steeply pitched hip with gable and shed projections.
