Historic Name: Bowser, Inc. Common Name: Seattle Glassblowing

Significance
This modest building was built in 1946, just as construction was beginning to recover after World War II. The regrading east of Fifth Avenue was not finished until 1930, and, due to the Depression and war, little development occurred for several decades. It originally served as offices for Bowser Inc., which sold service station equipment. It has now been altered with new aluminum storefronts, and has a restaurant and a glassblowing studio.
