Significance
In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
This building is important as an intact example of an early 20th century Craftsman apartment building. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of early 20th century multifamily housing and of residential development in Seattle. I does not appear on the 1904-1905 [Sanborn Map], and in fact, Block 8 is only sparsely developed on that map.

Appearance
This two story frame apartment builidng is massed under a broad, low hipped roof. The symmetrical façade has two story, shallow bays with a hipped roof entrance porch between. Massive square columns with simple scroll brackets support the porch. Eaves are open and rafter ends exposed. The building has a small gabled dormer.
