This house is an excellent example of a vernacular Queen Anne cottage and of late 19th/early 20th century vernacular housing. It contributes to our knowledge of the architectural and residential development of Seattle and it contributes to the historic streetscape. Further evaluation of this cottage may yield information regarding the rich ethnic heritage of this historically Japanese/American and Italian/American neighborhood.

This house is built to the rear of and pre-dates 1635 South King. It is very difficult to photograph. It appears to be a variation of the traditional one and 1/2 story gable front vernacular house type. |
